Profile

I’ve lived in the village for 23 years with my wife Claire and our two children, Cydney and Charlie. I’ve been part of the parish council for 16 years and care deeply about village life—especially protecting it from outside pressures that could change its character. I’m a keen cyclist and love the sense of community we have here. It’s a privilege to help preserve and support the place we call home.

As Chairman of the Parish Council, I take on a leadership role to help guide the council’s work and serve our local community effectively. My key responsibilities include:

Chairing meetings: I lead council meetings to ensure they run smoothly, fairly, and in line with legal procedures.

Setting the agenda: I work closely with the Clerk and fellow councillors to shape the agenda and encourage constructive discussion.

Casting the deciding vote: If there's ever a tie during a vote, I have the responsibility of making the final decision.

Representing the council: I act as the public face of the council, attending civic events and engaging with residents and external organisations.

Upholding good governance: I help ensure that our decisions are transparent, accountable, and in the best interests of the community.

Encouraging participation: I aim to foster active involvement from councillors and residents in shaping our parish’s future.
